Never Have I Ever: Cum Prematurely

Here’s What It’s Like to Cum Too Fast (And Why It’s Totally Normal)

Have you ever played “Never Have I Ever” before? Here are the rules: Everyone puts up ten fingers, and you go around in a circle and one by one share something sexy or scandalous that you’ve never done before. When someone else shares something you have done, you have to put one finger down — and of course, drink. The first person to put all 10 fingers down loses (or wins, depending on how you look at it).

Well, AskMen is still playing Never Have I Ever, and the rules are simple: In each edition of this column, we speak to someone about doing something new in bed, whether it’s a long-time fantasy, something that just happened, or even something they regret. They tell us everything so you get an inside look at what some sexual experiences are actually like.

Premature ejaculation happens.

Whether you’re a 14-year-old or an 84-year-old, regardless of your gender, it’s possible to climax too early. That’s in part because there’s no set time limit for what’s truly considered premature ejaculation — it’s just a question of whether you cum before you want to.

Realistically, there’s no reason to be embarrassed. If anything, the person you jizz all over should take it as a compliment. If you’re willing to keep things going and help them reach orgasm after you’re done, the whole thing can be a lot of fun.

That being said, just because it doesn’t have to derail things doesn’t mean it won’t. Tony is a 28-year-old man living in Brooklyn. When he was in college, he came early all over his hot hook-up. While she was relatively cool about it, the sex stopped there.

Tony shared the tale with AskMen, and philosophized with us about why we have such hang-ups about rapidly blowing your load.

AskMen: Tony, tell me about the incident.

Tony: This happened my senior year of college. I lived off-campus in the “big party house” and that particular night, we were hosting a big mixer.

A girl who I’d had my eyes on for a while was there. We eventually got to smooching, and I brought her up to my room. Explicit consent was obtained, and we began fooling around and undressing. I had several drinks. [and] I was unable to get a boner despite lots of trying.

We both passed out naked, and the next morning I woke up with vicious morning wood. We fooled around and eventually she went to get on top. Immediately upon putting my penis inside her, I threw her off and began shooting cum everywhere. All over my chest, head, pillows, sheets, etc.

I was obviously mortified, and now covered in my own cum. The girl kindly said, “Uh, it’s OK, it’s uh, you know, really early.” She immediately jumped out of bed, threw her clothes on and bolted, and left me in bed, covered in my own jizz.

Why do you think it happened this time? Was she just crazy hot?

I think all the fooling around the night before (with my soft penis) that had not ended in me coming served as a sort of edging, so that when I woke up I was both super horny and super pent up, ready to blow. Plus, I tend to be extra horny when I’m hungover, which I’m sure didn’t help my case.

Did you laugh or feel weird when it happened?

In the moment, I think I was a little embarrassed, but ultimately I knew it’d be something to laugh about with my friends. It definitely helped that I wasn’t trying to court this particular person or make her my girlfriend. I knew it was likely a one-off thing.

If you could go back in time, what would you change?

I think I probably would make it so that I performed admirably and had left my partner feeling satisfied with the experience … but it is what it is.

Did you ever see or talk to her again?

I used to see her around campus after that. We were cordial — she was really nice.

What advice would you give to a college kid (or any other guy who’s experienced what you did) reading this that might feel embarrassed?

It happens to everyone. I was lucky enough to have friends who talked about these things in the open, which made it a lot more relatable and a lot less embarrassing. Just know, even if your male friends don’t tell you about it, it has happened to them.

Also, if the person who you premature ejaculated with is even just somewhat sexually experienced, it has probably happened to them before.
