Country music legend Dolly Parton is ready to be on the cover of Playboy again. The 74-year-old Grammy winner initially appeared as a cover model wearing the classic Playboy bunny getup—ears, cuffs, bowtie, tail and black romper—in 1978, when she was 32. (She did not appear nude inside the magazine.)
“I don’t plan to retire. I just turned 74 and I plan to be on the cover of Playboy magazine again,” she told 60 Minutes Australia. “See I did Playboy magazine years ago and I thought it’d be such a hoot if they’ll go for it—I don’t know if they will—if I could be on the cover again when I’m 75.”
When asked if she could wear the same outfit as she did over 40 years ago, she replied, “Maybe! I could probably use it. Boobs are still the same.”
The country music star continued, “I’ve had about all the nips and tucks I can have. The good part with me though, I have my own look. I look kind of cartoonish and cartoons don’t really age that much.”
The “Jolene” singer was on the show to promote her upcoming A&E documentary, Biography: Dolly. A&E reports that the two-hour special “Traces Dolly Parton’s extraordinary journey from her childhood spent in poverty and early days in Nashville to her multiple hit songs and recent 50th anniversary celebration at The Grand Ole Opry.”
The documentary also features interviews with notable celebrities who’ve worked with Parton including Lily Tomlin, Chris Stapleton, Jane Fonda, and Kylie Minogue among others.
The special will debut April 12 at 8 PM ET/PT on A&E.
