Pure won’t prompt you for a ton of personal details when you register. You only have to provide a name, a photo, an email address, and select whether you’re interested in males or females since its goal is to help you find someone to hookup with and quickly—like, really quickly.
In fact, according to the app, “there’s no such thing as an account. There’s a request with a photo that disappears in an hour, there are chats that are deleted in an hour” so that once you get what you wanted from the app, you can leave without a trace. How…pure.
Once you do register for your non-account, you can immediately check out other users within a 500-km radius who are also online. For a little more perspective, within my first five minutes on Pure, I had more than 11 interested users who wanted to chat…on a Tuesday at 1:52 p.m. Not a bad pool for a lunch-break rendezvous.
One note: The app is limiting in that it doesn’t allow you to swipe though non-binary or both male and female-identifying users.
