We all have a ‘type’ and what one person finds attractive , another person might find repulsive.
In a quest to find out what ‘male attractiveness’ truly means – and to delve deeper into body image ideals around the world – a New York photographer bravely stripped off to have his picture taken.
His body type is what most of us would recognise as the average male, but the image was then sent to male and female graphic designers all around the world by Superdrug’s Online Doctor .
They were asked to Photoshop the image to represent their country’s idea of the ideal man, and the results are pretty surprising.
In some countries he’s just had a minor tweak, whereas others have given him a full-on makeover and left him barely recognisable.
Australians like him just the way he is, with him maintaining his shape for the most part, whereas the UK fancied him being a bit slimmer and Egypt favoured a more muscular physique.
