The North East is Britain’s most rampant region, with more than a third claiming to have sex more than five times a month.
The Welsh trail behind, with just one in seven (14%) getting as much action as their North East neighbours.
While some boasters would have you believe they’re at it like rabbits, according to a new survey the average Brit has sex less than three times a month.
Across the country, just 28% of people said they got it on more than five times a month, while almost another third said they don’t have sex at all.
The biggest group of abstainers, almost 40%, is Northern Ireland.
But despite the seeming lack of lovemaking, more than two thirds of the 1,000 people surveyed by OnePoll for ITV1’s This Morning said they were happy with their sex life.

But of the 35% who weren’t satisfied, a staggering 84% cent said it was the lack of sex that was leaving them wanting in the bedroom.
Split between genders, more than 70% of women said they were happy with their sex lives, with just 58% of men claiming to be satisfied.
And it was the over 55 age group who were the happiest with their sex lives, with more than 70% of those aged 55+ surveyed saying they were happy.
Almost half of those surveyed thought they should be having more sex each week, with tiredness and children the main culprits stopping people getting jiggy.

Just 40% of women wanted more sex, but almost 60% of men were left wanting more.
Unsurprisingly, not many wanted less sex – 0% from the South West and East Anglia.
But the biggest group who would ditch time between the sheets was the Welsh – 6% said they could live with less.
Almost half of adults admitted to trying to spice up their sex lives with sex toys, watching porn, dressing up, role play and games all being sampled in British bedrooms.

And more than 40% of those questioned said they always orgasmed during sex. More than a quarter confessed to faking orgasms.
Most sex tends to happen at night time, with the bedroom being the most popular room in the house – 100% do it in the bedroom in the North East.
But it seems we are a nation of romantics, with affection being the top thing to put us in the mood.
But there are huge differences between the sexes when it comes to sexual position, with 29% of men preferring doggie style and a quarter of women picking missionary position as their favourite.

And almost a quarter of women say they feel pressurised to be more adventurous in the bedroom, with 70% of those saying the pressure comes mostly from their partner, and another 25% feeling pressured by social media.
Just 12% of women admit to having a sexual fantasy that they haven’t acted out compared to nearly a third of men.
This Morning’s sex expert Tracey Cox will be talking through the findings with Phillip and Holly on tomorrow’s sofa, and the show will also open up their phone lines for viewers to talk about any concerns or advice needed in the bedroom.
