The 7 fist-bitingly sexy British actresses currently taking over Hollywood
Someone says it every year, but this year Vanity Fair’s 21st Annual Hollywood Issue has made it official – the Brits are taking over tinseltown.
And while we’re all very happy indeed for Golden Globe Award-winning, SAG Award-winning and probably Academy Award-winning Londoner Eddie Redmayne, it seems that at least some of the hype is to do with a bunch of very lovely, very British actresses.
So, who should you keep an eye out for? Here are the girls practically guaranteed to take over Hollywood this year…
07 Cara Delevingne
Where you’ve seen her before: on the catwalk, at the Chiltern Firehouse hanging out with other celeb lady-types and professionally wearing her iconic eyebrows.
Where you’ll see her next: playing Margo in the film adaptation of young adult novel Paper Towns, and alongside Margot Robbie in Suicide Squad.
06 Imogen Poots
Where you’ve seen her before: Back in 2007, she starred in the thriller 28 Weeks Later.
Where you’ll see her next: As Lola in a vague-sounding film called Frank & Lola and a crime thriller called Green Room.
05 Hayley Atwell
Where you’ve seen her before: In the Captain America franchise, as the badass Agent Peggy Carter.
Where you’ll see her next: Hayley will be popping up in The Avengers: Age of Ultron and her character Peggy has even got her own TV show, Agent Carter, coming up this year.
04 Felicity Jones
Where you’ve seen her before: In a film called Chalet Girl. Alright, you probably haven’t seen Chalet Girl, but you might have noticed that her Oscar-nominated turn as Stephen Hawking’s wife in The Theory Of Everything can still be seen in cinemas.
Where you’ll see her next: She’s just been announced as the lead in an upcoming stand-alone Star Wars movie. Which nobody really knows much about.
03 Emma Watson
Where you’ve seen her before: Hogwarts.
Where you’ll see her next: Playing the beauty in a live-action version Beauty and the Beast.
02 Kaya Scodelario
Where you’ve seen her before: looking pouty and mysterious as Effy in E4’s Skins.
Where you’ll see her next: In Hunger Games-style blockbuster-type movie The Maze Runner, later this year.
01 Emilia Clarke
Where you’ve seen her before: friend-zoning gingers and generally getting very distracted from plotting her slow return to Westeros (as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones).
Where you’ll see her next: Terminator Genisys, taking on the iconic role of Sarah Connor. Also, rejoice! Game of Thrones will be back in April 2015.
