Top 10 Subtle Things To Do If Your Girlfriend Is Gaining Weight
Years ago (maybe five?) we published an article under this title that was meant to be a ridiculous joke, but our attempt at light humor fell absolutely flat. It wasn’t funny — in fact, it was insulting to women and the men who love them. For years the article sat forgotten in our archives, until recently, when we were reminded of its existence by some angry readers and were compelled to rewrite it.
Sloth is one of the perks of coupledom. You’ve done your wooing, you found a great girl, you’re through the bruising gauntlet that is single life, where it seems any misstep can mean the difference between a hook-up and a date with your hand. Same goes for her. She’s not trying to knock you out every time she shuffles into the kitchen for a Bagel Bite (incidentally, Bagel Bites may be part of the problem here, but more on that later). It would be unreasonable to expect otherwise. That said, it’s not unreasonable to expect your partner to maintain some level of fitness and self-care even after you’re partnered. If your lady is twice the woman she used to be, it might be time to address that. How? Christ, we don’t know. We’re not that stupid. But if you must, here are some (hopefully) helpful suggestions.
